Sports massage is not just for athletes and sports people.  Sports massage can help people with postural problems, chronic conditions including sciatica, frozen shoulder, work-related muscular problems, sprains, strains and injuries.  I offer postural assessments and analysis of flexibility and range of movement.

I offer pre and post event massages, if you are holding an event and are interested in having therapists attend to help competitors please contact me.

I also offer maintenance massage for the seasoned athlete to stay in tip top form.

Deep Tissue/Remedial Massage

Is a specialist treatment which helps to relax muscles and release tension and knots. It’s a great treatment for anyone suffering from pain and discomfort or stress and anxiety. This treatment can also correct posture and prevent injuries.

Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal Disorders

Price: From £35

Acupuncture can be used to manage and treat a range of muscle and joint problems including back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle problems. Other conditions such as Osteoarthritis, Sciatica, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow and Migraines can be treated very successfully, as acupuncture not only alleviates pain but also reduces muscle spasms and inflammation and helps to restore mobility to joints.

Myofascial Release

Is a sports therapy treatment used to treat the connective tissue surrounding the muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. As the fascia releases it allows the muscles to lengthen and relax and can reduce pain and discomfort of injuries. A fantastic treatment for any sports enthusiasts!

Cupping Therapy

People have used cupping for thousands of years to ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other problems

Cupping therapy also known as fire cupping, is an ancient traditional Chinese medicine treatment, that places glass, plastic or silicon cups on to the skin. It is thought that cupping can help to enhance local circulation, relieve pain and extract toxins from the body.

The cups stay on the skin for 3/5 minutes before being removed. We offer variations of cupping therapy, from fire cupping to cupping massage where the cups are applied to an oiled body and moved around over skin.

The suction from cupping pulls fluids into the area, expanding and breaking open tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under the skin. The area can look red or bruised depending on how congested the area is, this marking disappears within a couple days.

Pre-event Sports Massage

We offer pre-event sport massage for competition and performance. Pre-event massage can help to increase circulation, warm up muscles and joints, increase flexibility and help to mentally prepare people for activity and enhance performance.

This type of massage loosens and stretches muscles in preparation for exercise, it raises the body temperature and increases cardiovascular activity.

Pre-event massage has many benefits, including improved range of movement, increased flexibility and reduced chance of injury.
